Transatlantic Love Affair
Ash Land – Fringe Festival 2012

Ash Land (2012)

The creators of Red Resurrected and Ballad of the Pale Fisherman present a desert Cinderella, scored by a slide guitar. Where bones bake in the sun and water is precious, a motherless child finds her identity.

Ash Land will feature core members Isabel Nelson, Allison Witham, Adelin Phelps, Derek Lee Miller, Willie Gambucci, and Heather Bunch, as well as actor/singer Peytie McCandless, LeCoq-trained performer Eric Nelson, and musician/slide guitarist Harper Zwicky.

About TLA

Transatlantic Love Affair is a newly-formed theater ensemble specializing in imaginative, movement-based, and collaboratively created theatrical storytelling. Headed by co-artistic directors Isabel Nelson and Diogo Lopes, they are the creators of original works Ballad of the Pale Fisherman (MN Fringe 2010; Illusion Theater 2012; Jon Hassler Theater 2012), Red Resurrected (MN Fringe 2011; Illusion Theater 2013), and Ash Land (MN Fringe 2012).

As an artistic community, we value the role of collaboration in creating original work; we commit ourselves to the imaginative telling of relevant stories; we believe the human body to be the ultimate theatrical instrument.
